Puzzle games built for the daily commute

A commute is the natural home of the puzzle game. You've got a few minutes, no signal in the tunnel, and a phone in your hand. The trick is finding puzzlers that don't punish you for stopping mid-board.

Tile Tumble is a favourite of mine here. Its gravity-flip twist keeps things interesting, and the undo button means I can experiment on the platform without stress. When my stop comes, I just lock the phone.

Avoid anything with a countdown timer if you play in short bursts. Nothing worse than losing a clever board because the train pulled in. Look for games that let you set the pace yourself.

The best commute puzzler is one you're happy to open for one level and equally happy to sink twenty minutes into. That flexibility is the whole point.
